Wed. Oct 29th 2008 My Mom and I were saddrned to here about Harold Fink's passing. Our hearts go out to Marge and family. Sally & Bobby Brehm - Bobby Brehm

Fri. Oct 10th 2008 While Harold Fink served in the Wood-Ridge fire department from 1964 to 1975, he lived and breathed ?firefighter?. You could see it in the sparkle in his eyes when he would visit a local fire department while traveling or when he was at home building his scale replica of the Wood-Ridge fire house. He may not have been putting out fires or rescuing passengers from a car accident, but he continued to be generous with his time helping others building/repairing furniture, playing softball with those in the community, or assisting customers at the local Ace Hardware. Harold was the epitome of a person who enjoyed giving of themselves. He will be missed by many.
Thanks for sharing and celebrating the courageous and compassionate firefighters of Wood-Ridge ? our modern heroes. - Russ Gyenes (husband of Lisa Fink)

Tue. Oct 7th 2008 My father's passing has brought back warmhearted memories of W-R and the fire department. I recalled my father participating in parades, picnics, Santa Claus on the fire truck, newspaper collections, cleaning the trucks, etc. Thank you for posting his passing.
